IPL 2021 Dubai: Qualifier 1 : Delhi vs Chennai: Dhoni’s Chennai won by 4 wickets in the first qualifier which went on till the last over at Dubai. Dhoni sealed the victory with a four. After wickets of Ruturaj Gaikwad and Robin Uthappa, for some time the match shifted towards Delhi Capitals. But with Dhoni and Moin Ali batting, Chennai finally made a comeback.
Chasing the Delhi Capitals, Chennai Super Kings got off to a bad start. Faf Duplessis was bowled in the first over. After that, Robin Uthappa along with opener Ruturaj Gaikwad put the team in a strong position with a century partnership. After the dismissals of Uthappa and Ruturaj Gaikwad, the match again shifted to Delhi Capitals. Shardul Thakur was surprisingly promoted from Chennai.
