IPL 2021 Sharjah: Eliminator : Bangalore vs Kolkata:The Royal Challengers Bangalore, led by Virat Kohli, were beaten by Kolkata Knight Riders (RCB vs KKR) by 4 wickets and RCB stopped their journey in the IPL this year. KKR completed RCB’s 139-run target in 19.4 overs for the loss of six wickets. KKR’s Shubhaman Gill top-scored with 29 runs. He was well supported by Venkatesh Iyer and Sunil Narine with 26 runs each. From RCB, Hershal Patel, Yazuvendra Chahal and Mohammad Siraj took two wickets each. Along with RCB, the captaincy of Virat Kohli also came to an end. After this, Virat will not lead the RCB.
Bangalore batsmen AB de Villiers, Maxwell and Shrikar Bharat failed to make a big impact. Even if one of them had anchored on the field till the end, the result of the match would have looked different. Sunil Narine’s crucial four-wicket haul and Lockie Ferguson’s two-wicket haul helped Kolkata to restrict Bangalore to 138 for seven in the allotted 20 overs.
