Where will the FIFA World Cup 2022 be held?
QATAR will be the host for FIFA World Cup 2022.
This is the 22nd Soccer World Cup tournament but this is the first time it will be held in Arab World and second time in entire Asia. First time it was held in Asia was in the year of 2002 when South Korea and Japan jointly hosted the tournament.
Australia, Japan, Qatar, South Korea, and the United States were the final 5 bidder for 2022 FIFA World Cup. At the end it was the bidding between USA and Qatar which Qatar won by 14-8 votes.

As per the schedule declared by FIFA, 2022 Soccer World Cup tournament will be held between 20th November 2022 and 18th December 2022.
Total of 32 teams participating in this World Cup. These 32 teams are divided into 8 groups (of 4 each) for the group matches. There will be total of 64 games played during this tournament.

Based on the points from each group, top 2 will qualify for the next round i.e. “Round of 16”. In Round of 16, 8 games will be played.
