Argentina – Game plan
Argentina team arrived at World Cup as a well-oiled machine. The team works as a balanced unit where everyone knows their role. The team’s collectiveness where everyone works hard for each other has been highlighted multiple times in recent past.
The current cycle began towards the end of 2018 when Argentina had last-16 exit from the Russia World Cup. After that in 2019 Copa América, Argentina finished third. Two years later Argentina went on to win 2021 Copa América, the country’s first major title for 28 years. Argentina defeated Brazil in the final at the Maracanã to make triumph even sweeter. Then with an utterly dominant performance at Wembley, Argentina won the “Finalissima” beating Italy 3-0.
We have to accept what has been drawn for us. It’s a group with difficult teams. Mexico is an opponent that we know, difficult. Poland played well and won against Switzerland and Saudi Arabia had a very good qualifying campaign.
