Senegal – Game plan
The Senegal team, nicknamed “Lion”, is the hope of Africa in this 2022 World Cup. According to many observers, Senegal has best chance to go further than any other African country, at least past quarter final stage).
Senegal team has been in top of their game for quite some time now. The back home expectations are extremely confident since they were crowned “Champions of Africa” in Feb’22. In recent times, Senegal is in two “Africa Cup of Nations” finals (2019 & 2022) and qualify for two consecutive World Cups.
Tradition in Senegal dictates that there is a flag delivery ceremony by the president of the republic to the team before they go into a major tournament. The 2021 Afcon speech by Senegalese head of state, Macky Sall, seemed to motivate this team to perform even better at world stage.
A lion cannot be afraid…This time … we must go and take this trophy and come back, because the nation has been waiting, with hope, for so many years. With determination and courage, make Cameroon 2021 the time of victory

Senegal Jersey
Senegal team will don well known – home white, away green jersey.
White jersey is inspired by the home shirt worn twenty years ago in the reigning Africa Cup of Nations champion’s World Cup debut. The green, yellow, and red of the Senegal flag are used for the away jersey’s rounded neckline.
